Jason Wilde The conversation begins talking about the nickname that Jake Kumerow should have including Touchdown Jesus vs. Whitewater Jesus. After that discussion is settled, we ask Jason about his interview with Dan Orlovsky who he had on his program earlier in the day. Jason talks about why the interview happened and it starts with Tausch asking Orlovsky about his line “no body fears Aaron Rodgers anymore.” Dan’s answer came down to the talent that is around Aaron in the passing game, as well as the relationship between Rodgers and Matt LaFleur and how they still need time to get used to each other’s tendencies.

With this interview Jason opens talking about Matt LaFleur’s press conference where he reported that Packer fans will see more of Jake Kumerow who had a breakout catch yesterday against the Bears. The team identity comes into the conversation as Gabe asks is “winning ugly” this team’s identity. We also go over who’s performance stood out in the win yesterday. And Jason reports back from the locker room and what sort of reactions players and coaches had to the final play of the game where the Bears almost got to the end zone with a series of laterals.

Jason Wilde Our Packers insider Jason Wilde joins the Doug Russell Show. They open up talking about the interview with Mike McCarthy on Wilde & Tausch earlier today. Jason goes into McCarthy’s demeanor and confidence of his likelihood that he will return as a head coach in the NFL. Jason also goes into the details of where McCarthy could end up as a head coach. Doug asks Jason what sort of answer McCarthy had when he said his family “needs this” referring to Mike getting another coaching job in the NFL. We also talk about the Packers and question how good the Packers actually are - with a 10-3 record Jason wonders if 10-3 is a correct depiction of this year’s Packers team.
